Once again the Boston Garden is undergoing a name change, and to launch the re-branding as the “TD Garden” there will be a special golden ticket giveaway on July 16th. Before I get into the details of the giveaway, let me just say that it will always be referred to as “The Garden” or “The Boston Garden”. I don’t care if you’re giving away hundred dollar bills, the people of New England will never call it by anything else.

That being said, beginning at noon on July 16th residents of New England can go to the Garden (as well as select TD Banknorth locations) and receive a candy bar which may hold a ticket for one of 917 prizes. 5 lucky people will receive a golden ticket which will entitle them to a private tour of the Garden as well as some top secret prizes. Of those 5, one person will be chosen at random to receive two season tickets to the Garden.

Season tickets as in the Celtics, Bruins, 8 concerts, WWE, etc. You get the point, it’s basically a Boston Sports fans ultimate prize package especially considering the prospect of both the Celtics and Bruins next season.
